OurPlants
My central focus is on developing the OurPlants project with my good friend Andrew. He’s the computer scientist and the brains behind developing an epic comparison website that will make plant identification that much easier.
On the other hand, I’ve been a photographer for many years and am using this skillset to capture useful angles of the species I’m photographing.
This project is going to cost us a bit to pull off, so my personal website intends to help source crucial funding to see OurPlants succeed.
GIS Expertise
My work as an ecologist has lead me to specialise in the use of geospatial analysis software known as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I have taught GIS to tertiary environmental science students and use the software everyday for my career.
I am available as a freelance GIS Specialist to the few of you who may require this niche expertise. Earnings from this freelance work go directly towards funding OurPlants, so this is a great way to support the vision while justifying it as a business expense!
